And that’s when Leo realizes Donnie has gone nuts.

“Talk nerdy to me and I might just listen to you, Mikey.”

“Can you stop screaming and just grab my hand!?”
Man, Leo got angry when he had to pull up annoying baby brothers that were hanging down from edges close to a painful death.
Who knew?

Its such a shame that everyone’s hearts can’t beat the same.

It would, of course, have to look like an accident.
But Don was pretty sure he could pull it off.

Little Raphie glared at the offending book.
He didn’t need to learn how to read! He was big, so why did he have to learn how to read!?
Then Leo walked by, giving him one of those stupid smirks as he read aloud from his book.
Raphie growled and decided he was going to WIN.
He was going to be the best reader in the whole wide world!
He glanced towards Donnie, who was sitting besides him reading a really, really thick book.
Or, well. Better than Leo, anyways.

“What’re ya doin’?”
”Something.”
“Right. Thanks for yer sharin’.”

“Mike, if I have ta get up, I’m kickin’ yer ass.”
”So does that mean I have to start running now?”

Leo asked Mikey why he didn’t take his training seriously.
Mikey answered by throwing whipped cream in his face.

“Are you sure he won’t catch us? Like, really, really sure?”
”Yes.”
”But what if he gets up to make tea? What if-“
“Mikey, Raph calls me Splinter Junior for a reason. Now, are we going to prank our family or not?”

Little Donnie bit his lip, stood as tall as he could and took his first step away from the lair.
'I'm going to be BRAVE today.' He thought to himself, his brother’s comments still ringing in his ears. 'Coward', they had called him. He was gonna show them!

“Guys, don’t look down.”
They knew Leo said that more to himself than them, but they answered anyway.

The sign said ‘Mutated Turtle. Property of U.S Government.’
The woman peered in, and saw blue eyes.

“How do you think utroms get babies?”
”… What have I done to deserve that question?”

And then they could hear a furious shout from Donnie’s lab.
“You have failed me, YOU STUPID BRAIN!”
Mikey fell down from his chair, laughing his shell off.

“Welcome to your end,” Don hissed, dark eyes flashing as he met Karai’s eyes,
“I promise it will hurt.”

“I think I just saw Raph chasing a butterfly.”
”… Don’t let him hear you say that, Leo.”

He wish he was a better liar.

Flying is just falling up, but you will always come down.
He is lucky he got a shell.

“Hey, Raph, do you think Donnie looks like a girl?”
”… Let’s just pretend ya didn’t ask that, alright?”

Raph doesn’t mind jumping into dumpsters and other stinking stuff, as long as Leo suffers with him. That smug bastard.

“You are not supposed to do that, Mikey.”
“What, reading a book? Too out of character for you, Leo?”
“Yes. It feels like the world is ending.”

“Um… Leo?”
“Yeah?”
”Are you gay?”
”… It depends. Are you?”

Leo is training to be perfect.
Raph claims he doesn’t need to be perfect.
Donnie wishes he could be perfect.
Mikey says he is perfect.

“Are you insane or just very stupid? Because if it’s insanity, I might be able to cure it.”
“Shut up, Donnie.”

Raph smirked.
He was about to piss someone off.

And then the door was slammed shut, leaving three shocked turtles and one human in the lair. Casey didn’t think much of it, too busy being angry after the argument, until Raph smirked and opened his mouth.
“Ya actually made Donnie mad. Where do you want yer funeral, bonehead?”

Leo knew Raph could take care of himself.
He knew Mikey rarely needed help.
It was Donnie he worried about.

The Ancient One had told him to explain more simply.
He wondered how the Ancient One would react if he ever met Donnie.

Little Mikey’s eyes sparkled as he proudly showed the crayons he found to Splinter. One was orange, one was red, one was blue and one was grey. He was very, very proud.
Now he just had to find a green and a purple!

“I ain’t scared!
He pretended to believe him.

Ice cold rage wrapped around his mind and heart, and with a fierce battle cry he attacked, swords slashing through the air.

They all had their bad habits, but at least Leo’s was only about protecting them.

When troubled, Mikey had really weird dreams.
Like Raph wearing a pink dress while threatening to kill Splinter for being a girl.

“You made it!”
They often repeated those words, but they never lost their relief when saying them.

When Donnie loses it, the world should pray he doesn’t go mad scientist on it.

“Leo is now going into overprotective-mood. Please stand by!”

“How is it even possible to make those eyes?” Leo asked, confused and dizzy after meeting Mikey’s puppy eyes. Donnie didn’t even look up from his work, knowing that Leo wouldn’t like the answer.
All younger siblings could make those.

“Wouldn’t it be just awesome if we got this bad guy who wants to kill us but we kill him instead and he always comes back like a super bad guy?”
“No, it would just be annoying.”

Little Leo really, really, really, REALLY hated math.
And then, many years later, he decided he hated cooking even more.

Splinter sighed as the boys started to fight once again over the remote.

Mikey threw his arms over Donnie’s shoulder, a mischievous smile on his face as he told the genius about his master plan.
Surprisingly, Donnie thought it might work.

“Why is death permanent?”
“I don’t know.”

They could walk all over him if they wanted to, but they never did.

Leo pouted.
He was surprisingly good at it.

When he realized what was happening, he panicked.
Feeling his teeth’s grow into fangs and his mind fading away, all he could think of was leaving the room so that no one would get hurt.

Leo closed his eyes, and whished he could pray.
But he wasn’t religious.

“Leo and Karai, sitting in a tree, K-I-L-L-I-N-G!”
“Who?”
”Well, Leo kills Karai. Of course.”
“Of course.”

It was so like Donnie, to simply disappear like smoke.

“Mikey, keep your cat away from my lab!”

“Why have you tied me to the bed?”
”To watch ya suffer, bro.”
“What Raph means, Leo, is that Splinter doesn’t want you to move your legs.”
“Which, you know, only idiots do when they are BROKEN!”

“I ain’t as nice as Leo, so don’t ya think you will get any second chances from me.”

It was a big surprise for the humans, when they found out that the turtles could speak Japanese better than English.

He had just killed his family... and he didn’t even know it.

It was only loneliness that could make Mikey silent, but they would never torture their baby brother like that. No matter how annoying he got.

Inside his head, Leo groaned as he felt Mikey sit down next to him, knowing he would never be able to meditate now.

“Is that a snake?” It would have been an innocent question from anyone else, but this was Raph and he knew what it would do. Leo froze in fear.

You can be the ugliest creature on Earth, and the only thing the turtles would worry about is if you are out to kill them or not. Leatherhead is very thankful for that.

They don’t age like humans, and Mikey is the only one that has yet to learn the harsh lesson, that a human live long enough for you to get to know them but die before you get used to the thought of losing them.

Wise eyes narrowed in anger, and the four small turtles swallowed in fear.
Oh shell.

He would sacrifice the world if it meant saving them.
