He looked at it intently, aware of the green head under it.

Aware of the coffee black eyes that were now reading, aware of the glinting blade in his hand.

Aware of every single thing that could go wrong.

He tensed.

And attacked.

Don didn’t even glance at them as the apple pieces fell to the ground; instead he smiled softly towards Leo, before turning back to his reading.

Leo grinned to himself, and placed another apple on Don’s head.

This, he decided, was the perfect example of complete and unconditional trust.

Because to me, Donnie appears as the one who REALLY trust his brothers, no matter what.
